There’s never been a better or more exciting time to become a BMC Brighton nurse. **Position: Registered Nurse Location: Float Pool Schedule: 36 hours/week (Night shift, Every 3rd weekend required)** **ABOUT THE UNIT:** The Med/Surge Float RNs provide 24/7 clinical excellence for med/surge areas. Float pool nurses care for medical and surgical adult populations. Working in the float pool hones your med-surge skills and provides a clinical overview that is unparalleled in any other med/surge area. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Deliver nursing care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients * Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families * Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues * Update and manage patient records * Enter and interpret computerized data/information * Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects **JOB REQUIREMENTS** : * Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. * Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years * 1+ years of RN experience preferred * Certification in basic life support (BLS) * Advanced Cardiac Life support **(** ACLS) completed duri
