What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario, Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Obstetrics, Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification, Current Fetal Health Surveillance course, Competency with vaginal exams during labour, Breastfeeding certificate, Demonstrated ability to assist and support breastfeeding, Demonstrated commitment to family centered care, Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, Satisfactory employment and attendance record
Nice to Have
Current Obstetric O. R. certificate, Perioperative experience, Perinatal Nursing Certificate, Proficient in venipuncture and IVs
What You'll Do.
Provide triage and care to pregnant woman
Provide care throughout labour and birth
Provide care during vaginal deliveries
Provide care during Caesarean deliveries
Provide recovery care for Caesarean mother
Provide maternal and newborn care
