Eligibility Requirements

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned department, Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life, Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures, Required to stand, sit, talk, type, read, and hear, Required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, carry and work, Required to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and rise from a kneeling position while performing patient care, Required to be independently mobile, with frequent bending, and reaching overhead, for activities such as positioning and transferring of patients and equipment, Must be able to exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, Due to possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens and hazardous materials, must be able to understand and follow department policies related to employee safety

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Registered nurse in the state of Michigan, Associate's degree in nursing, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, critical thinking skills, decision-making skills, delegation skills, leadership skills, Time management skills, organizational skills, effective written communication skills, effective verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively under time requirements and deadlines, ability to problem-solve when facing unexpected issues, ability to handle interruptions, ability to prioritize effectively

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree, Certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Nurse, Previous experience as a RN, Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, Previous experience in an acute care setting

What You'll Do.
