Ability to navigate extensively to provide services to a large number of patients throughout the hospital, Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer entry, Must have physical ability to measure and weigh patients, Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required, Required to comply with influenza prevention program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a closely related field, Maintain current licensure to practice Dietetics in the current state (LD), Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD), One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition, successful completion of a Dietetic Internship Program
Nice to Have
foundation in medical nutrition therapy, Interest and knowledge in integrative and functional nutrition
What You'll Do.
Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy
Provide counseling and education services to patients
Implement a nutritional care plan
Establish a follow-up system
Maintain documentation
Write changes for diet
Initiate nutrient intake assessment
Assess patients for signs and symptoms of nutritional
Evaluate appropriate fluid
Review laboratory and clinical progress
Inform physicians of patients' nutritional status
Documentation and reassessments
Coordinate efforts of dietetic technician
Develop and contribute to education programs
Create and revise education materials
Participate in program development
Market services to potential and current referral
Develop and implement services
Actively contribute to departmental initiatives
Support the dietetic internship program
Complete reports for ongoing productivity tracking
Participate in professional growth
Attend and contribute to conferences
Represent Cleveland Clinic on nutrition related matters
Conduct clinical research
Utilizes clinical software applications
Comply with all regulatory organizations
Deliver medical nutrition therapy
Apply evidence-based nutrition best practices
Conduct up to 8 patient appointments per day
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques
Build rapport and maintain a positive patient experience
