What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a closely related field, Maintain current license to practice Dietetics in the state of Florida (LD), Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD), One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition
Nice to Have
Prior EPIC experience, Prior hospital experience, Successful completion of a Dietetic Internship Program
What You'll Do.
Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy
Provide counseling and education services to patients
Implement a nutritional care plan
Establish a follow-up system
Maintain documentation
Write changes for diet orders
Initiate nutrient intake assessments
Assess patients for signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies
Evaluate appropriate fluid and electrolytes
Review laboratory and clinical progress notes
Inform physicians of patients' nutritional status
Coordinate efforts of dietetic technician
Develop and contribute to education programs
Create and revise education materials
Participate in program development
Market services to referral sources
Develop and implement services
Contribute to departmental initiatives
Support the dietetic internship program
Complete reports for productivity tracking
Participate in professional growth activities
Attend and contribute to conferences
Represent Cleveland Clinic on nutrition matters
Conduct clinical research
Utilize clinical software applications

Works collaboratively with other health disciplines and departments; Coordinate efforts of dietetic technician assigned to area; Support the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor

Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. The Registered Dietitian will provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, education and counseling to patients, helping them to regain and/or improve their health. This role works collaboratively with other health disciplines and departments to optimize nutrition care and patient experience.
