What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Undergraduate degree in supply chain, business, engineering or other applicable fields required, Minimum five years team management experience, Previous experience of managing teams in a multisite environment, Minimum Eight + years with progressive Sourcing experience, Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, Excellent communication skills with suppliers and in a matrix organization, Proven negotiations skills that have resulted in substantial TCO reduction without compromise to quality, and delivery, Experience in analyzing complex data, (preferably from SAP extracts), Experience in drafting tender and contractual documents, Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals, Ability to present information upwards to both senior management as well as to subordinate staff members, Previous experience working in a global matrix management structure
Nice to Have
Graduate Degree preferred, A proven leader able to inspire team members across multiple sites
What You'll Do.
Oversee all Sourcing activity for all parts of the business in the APAC region
Focal point for all sourcing activity within the region
Ensure Sourcing strategies are aligned to business requirements
Build plans that will localize supply for target categories
Build year over year cost reduction plans
Lead business reviews with major regional suppliers
Optimize the number of strategic vendor partnerships
Provide guidance and mentorship to the category management and Sourcing team members
Identify supplier risks
Develop plans to mitigate risks
Ensure that our designs are cost effective for the APAC Regional
Implement global standard cost recovery process
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Cross-functional coordination with P&T teams; Guidance and mentorship to category management and Sourcing team members; Stakeholder engagement with Senior Management team within the APAC region, Global Procurement Director & VP Global Operations & Supply chain; Collaboration with Global category Managers, APAC Regional category Managers
Communication Scope
Excellent communication skills with suppliers and in a matrix organization; Ability to present information upwards to both senior management as well as to subordinate staff members
