Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, Knowledge and/or working experience with statistical analysis tools, data visualization, and program management, 2+ years’ experience leading engineering teams, Experience leading disciplined technical problem-solving, Demonstrated experience with IEC 61131-3 languages, common material handling applications and intralogistics concepts, Experience interpreting, modifying and developing mechanical and electrical drawings, Familiarity with programming software/environments including Studio 5000, TIA, Ignition, SOPAS, Dataman and other controls software platforms, Experience with written and oral communications for technical and non-technical audiences, Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously through delegation

Nice to Have

We are a smart team of doers who work passionately to apply advances in mechatronics and robotics to solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. The Solutions Engineering (SE) team engages on all aspects of high-level support for the control systems within every Amazon building globally. This work takes the form of direct field engagement for launch and existing facilities, commissioning, on-call, continuous improvement, change management, project management, training, security, infrastructure and systems administration. Within SE, each manager leads a technical pillar to provide a single point of contact for large-scale initiatives divided by vendor(s) and geographic region. In this role, you will hire and develop a team of engineers working directly with a wide number of stakeholder teams, to maximize the performance, availability and quality of the technologies in your pillar. To accomplish this, you will drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including Operations, RME, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering, World-Wide Design and other engineering entities. Your team delivers robust lifecycle management approaches, that are scalable, reduce manual work and overall reduce the cost of ownership of the systems you support. You will deliver this through the use of statistics and data analytics, structured problem solving, implementation of global support mechanisms, system performance monitoring tools, identification and dissemination of best practices.
