What They're Looking For.
Must Have
University degree in Material Science, Physics, or a comparable technical field, 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or application support, preferably in analytical instrumentation for material characterization, Experience in international business environments and customer-facing roles, Ability to combine scientific expertise with commercial and strategic thinking, Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, product management, R&D), High willingness to travel internationally (up to 50 %), Structured, proactive, and customer-oriented working style
Nice to Have
knowledge in material characterization, ideally in mechanical surface characterization (e. g. nanoindentation, tribology) and/or surface area analysis (e. g. BET, pore size analysis), Fluent in German advantageous
What You'll Do.
Drive the growth of advanced material characterization solutions across EMEA
Combine application expertise and pre-sales consulting
Work closely with subsidiaries and customers to deliver technical solutions in surface area and pore size analysis as well as mechanical surface characterization
Act as sales expert for Mechanical surface characterization
and friction coefficient
Act as sales expert for Surface area and pore size/ volume analysis of particle materials
Support the sales organizations in identifying
and developing new business opportunities and markets
Provide technical consulting and application support to customers and local sales teams in the region
Define customer-specific system configurations and recommend optimal measurement solutions
Analyze technical requirements and support preparation of tender documents and quotations
Conduct instrument demonstrations
and application tests at the Regional Technical Center in Graz
Deliver technical trainings
and webinars for subsidiaries and customers
Identify new application opportunities and provide structured market and customer feedback to product management
