Eligibility Requirements

Ability to travel distances of up to 50 miles from Phoenix, AZ area, Available to travel for annual staff training and company retreat 1 – 2 times a year, Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times, Expected to travel regularly to program sites, Occasional overnight travel throughout the year, Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate's degree/equivalent years of experience in a related field, Recent college graduate with a passion and commitment to the health, education and service fields, A self-starter, organized, detail-oriented and creative individual, Experience with, or interest in, serving as a mentor to teens and building and cultivating relationships, Passion for addressing health disparities in a community and/or educational setting

Nice to Have

Bilingual a plus

What You'll Do.

Implement community-wide wellness program

Empower teens to make healthier choices

Serve as catalyst for sustainable change

Promote improved health and wellness

Support Regional Program Managers

Train and deploy near-peer college mentors

Deliver HealthCorps program in schools

Engage community stakeholders

Develop network for improving health

Develop relationships with universities

Build and lead a team of mentors

Assess community needs and progress

Support delivery of health education program

Direct program delivery in settings

Support development and promotion of initiatives

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with local universities, community partners, schools and district staff; Support a team of Regional Program Managers; Connect with people with various backgrounds

Communication Scope

Excellent written, verbal and all-around personable social skills; Effectively and respectfully communicate, collaborate and connect
