Join a diverse, dynamic and enthusiastic team of environmental compliance professionals who play a leading role in environmental permitting and compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where we have a history of leading the world in innovative technologies and services. The work of our Regional Environmental Engineers is critical to enabling AWS's growth in the US and around the world. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of technical specialists and experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. You will partner with AWS stakeholders to develop regional and site-specific development strategies enabling the construction and operation of AWS datacenters and infrastructure. You will lead environmental due diligence for site selection and acquisition, develop and execute regional and site-specific environmental permitting strategies, manage environmental compliance during design and construction, and prepare for data center operations. This role requires regular engagement throughout the development lifecycle with multiple AWS stakeholders including Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Water, Design, Public Policy, Construction, and Operational teams, as well as external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors.
