H. S. diploma/GED required, One (1) year or more in commercial collections required, Two (2) years or more in accounting/financial with the H. S. Diploma required, 0 to One (1) year in accounting/financial with the Associate'sachelor's degree required, Demonstrated knowledge of commercial collections process intermediate required, MS Office Suite intermediate required
Nice to Have
Associate's degree preferred in business, accounting, financial or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred in business, accounting, financial or related field
What You'll Do.
Manage collection activities for assigned portfolio
Maintain customer communications
Maximize financial results
Analyze and monitor assigned portfolio
Protect financial interests
Contact customers to solicit payment
Negotiate cessation of services
Obtain information on customer deductions
Remediate customer payment terms
Determine contract defaults
Analyze disputes and deductions
Facilitate resolution of amounts due
Provide updates on receivables
Forecast bad debt expense
Manage negative impact of bad receivables
Participate in projects
Develop documentation
Improve receivables metrics
Save customer relationships
Analyze financial/credit/operational data
Plan and execute collections strategies
Perform other duties as assigned
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work closely with Ryder Operations Leadership; Work closely with Rental Leadership; Work closely with the Sales Team; Coordinate actions with teams; Identify and assign customer billing disputes; Participate in Conference Calls and meetings with Ryder Senior leadership; Work with customers and all levels of operational/sales management; Work as a member of a team; Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
