Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Diagnose and resolve complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN issues using advanced network analysis tools and OSI-layer troubleshooting techniques. Configure, manage, and secure network infrastructure components including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and routing/switching environments. Lead and execute change management processes, including risk assessments and 24-hour operational reviews. Monitor network performance and conduct in-depth analysis using enterprise tools and protocols such as SNMP, MIB, and MRTG. Support cybersecurity operations including vulnerability remediation, patching coordination, and incident response alignment (IAVA/CVE). Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and enterprise network standards in coordination with engineering governance teams. Mentor junior engineers, support integration activities, and participate in technical working groups and system improvement initiatives. Provide escalation support for critical outages and after-hours incidents, ensuring timely restoration of services. Requirements: Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance (required). DoD 8570/8140-compliant cybersecurity or operating system certification (required). Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification (required); additional networking certifications are a plus. 6–9 years of relevant network engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, and routing protocols. Hands-on expertise with Cisco IOS, wireless standards (802.11), and switching/routing technologies. Experience with network monitoring and automation tools such as SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible. Solid understanding of network security principles including Zero Trust concepts, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
