What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure studies with a majorphasis in Therapeutic Recreation or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Physical Education, Psychology or Health Studies), Minimum of 2 years experience in the practice of Therapeutic Recreation, Basic Cardiac Life Support – Level C, Healthcare Provider
Nice to Have
Post-diploma in Therapeutic Recreation, Membership in either a Provincial, National, State or International Therapeutic Recreation Professional Association, Expertise in planning, implementation and evaluation of Therapeutic Recreation interventions
What You'll Do.
Contributing to the conceptualization
and assessment of a diverse range of recreation programs and services
Design and develop engaging activities that cater to the unique goals and needs of our clients
Performing comprehensive assessments of patients
Plan individual and group interventions
Collaborating in an inter-professional environment in providing patient focused care
Contributing to program planning and development
implementing and evaluating Recreation Therapy interventions
patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans
policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients
