Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure studies with a majorphasis in Therapeutic Recreation or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Physical Education, Psychology or Health Studies)., Post-diploma in Therapeutic Recreation., Membership in either a Provincial, National, State or International Therapeutic Recreation Professional Association., Basic Cardiac Life Support – Level C, Healthcare Provider., Minimum of 2 years experience in the practice of Therapeutic Recreation., Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job

Expertise in planning, implementation and evaluation of Therapeutic Recreation interventions.

Performing comprehensive assessments of patients and plan individual and group interventions
Collaborating in an inter-professional environment in providing patient focused care
Contributing to program planning and development
implementing and evaluating Recreation Therapy interventions
patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans
policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients
