What You'll Do.
Inspect locomotives before operation
Operate locomotive controls under supervision
Interpret train orders
Assist with switching
and movement of railcars
and trackside equipment
Control movement of equipment
Couple and uncouple railcars
Apply and release hand brakes
Monitor track conditions and report hazards
Assist in training new employees
Prepare reports related to delays
Perform routine lubrication and basic maintenance
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
