What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A), Acceptable driving history, Previous experience in construction, industrial labor, heavy civil work, or another physically demanding environment, Ability to successfully complete required qualification, safety, and training programs, Willingness to remain available for emergency response assignments on a 24/7 basis

Nice to Have

Three or more years of experience operating heavy equipment, Experience with excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, grapple trucks, tractors, skid steers, or rail-related equipment, Experience working in transportation, railroad, construction, recovery, or infrastructure environments

What You'll Do.

Conduct vehicle inspections

Conduct equipment inspections

Safely transport equipment

Safely transport tools

Safely transport materials

Verify proper load securement

Inspect transported equipment

Confirm compliance with permits

Participate in job planning discussions

Participate in safety meetings

Assist with mobilization activities

Assist with setup activities

Support rail recovery efforts

Support material transfer projects

Support track-related construction activities

Help restore work areas

Secure equipment for transport

Assist with setup of cranes

Assist with setup of specialized equipment

Assist with inspection of cranes

Assist with inspection of specialized equipment

Assist with operation of cranes

Assist with operation of specialized equipment

Assist with teardown of cranes

Assist with teardown of specialized equipment

Support rigging operations

Operate heavy machinery

Operate grapple trucks

Operate additional construction equipment

Operate lifting equipment

Utilize hydraulic systems

Utilize welding equipment

Utilize cutting torches

Utilize electrical tools

Utilize standard hand tools

Monitor equipment condition

Perform routine servicing

Document maintenance activities

Report significant repair needs

Assist with equipment breakdown
