What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field, BLS required
Nice to Have
Senior/rising senior Radiography program student preferred, Medical clerical skills preferred
What You'll Do.
Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment
Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist
Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department
Performs basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist
Identifies and assists patients with questions about procedures
Prepares patients for exam and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist
radiopharmaeceuticals
or contrast media materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner
authorized/certified technologist or registered nurse
Assists physicians and technologists in the performance of diagnostic exams based on assigned modality and career pursuits (Rad/Fluro
Ultrasound) to include procedures requiring the administration of contrast media
Retrieves patient orders and requisitions while supporting administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS
or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams
Assists patients to restrooms
urinals and other ancillary clinical support needs as required
Assists with administrative duties
and compliance requirements
