**Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health!** **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 16 **Work Shift:** All Work Shifts (United States of America) **Job Summary:** The Radiology Tech Assistant supports the needs of the Radiology team with the use of the Radiology Information System, basic computer skills, and excellent communication skills. **Essential Functions:** * Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen. * Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient monitor or high flow oxygen. * Properly operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs. * Reviews daily department schedules in order to work efficiently with the Radiologic team members. * Maintains office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team leader when supplies need to be ordered. * Other duties as assigned that are deemed necessary for department operations. **Education:** High School Diploma or GED (required) **Required Licensing & Certifications:** BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required) **Experience:** 1 year of patient care experience (preferred) Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred) **Training:** EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred) Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred) Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
