**POSITION SUMMARY****:** As a BMC South Radiologic Technologist, you will perform vital X-ray imaging for all trauma, inpatients and outpatients. These images will assist our providers to accurately diagnose and care for our patients. You will gain a wide range of experience using cutting-edge technology, while working collaboratively with other department staff and our own Radiology Team to help further BMC’s mission of providing exceptional care for all. **Position: Radiologic Technologist (X-ray) - Per Diem** **Department: Radiology-Diagnostic** **Schedule: Per Diem** **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:** Diagnostic Imaging * Perform appropriate studies in a timely manner, using proper positioning, technique and exposure factors as necessary and required, with a goal to use the lowest dose possible * Set up equipment, provide quality radiographs for radiologists and other colleagues, and perform other duties as requested by the X-ray Lead, Supervisor, and Radiology Director * Perform exams on patients of all ages as required in all areas that Diagnostic Radiology is located and needed * Ensures best turnaround time for all ordered exams to reduce delays in care * Exams to be performed as determined through our established routine protocols. Ensuring that exams ordered match the reason for exam and patient presentation, condition and history. Patient Care and Safety * Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their safety, comfort, and modesty at all times * Always checking patient identifiers to validate correct patient name, DOB, MRN, correct exam and laterality ordered, every time * Monitor each patient’s condition during exams, taking appropriate action when assistance is needed * Follow established hospital infection control and safety procedures and use AIDET communication framework Administrative * Document exams properly in Radiology Information System and PACS to ensure all details and required information are included * Maintain professionalism with in-pe
