Associate's Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program, Radiography - American Registry Radiologic Technologist Required, Radiography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Required, Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two year Required

What You'll Do.

Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision.

Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.

Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.

Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.

Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation.

Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding

and supportive devices as required.

Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.

Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy

C-arm in the Operating Room

digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.

Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.

Completion of exam in hospital information system.

Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.

May also assist with mentoring and/or training students

More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day. **A Brief Overview** Radiologic Technologist perform radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Employees in this position will be responsible for inpatient on-call and shift rotation. **What you will do** * Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication. * Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure. * Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation. * Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required. * Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order. * Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations. * Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination. * Completion of exam in hospital information system. * Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment. * May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires. **Education Qualifications** * Associate's Degree from an approved Radiol
