Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner. **Education** : Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology **Experience** : One year in Radiology preferred, but new graduates welcome! **License/Certification:** * Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or obtain within the first 6 months. * Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. * Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required **Additional Job Description** **MUSC Health Black River Medical Center** supports a patient-and family-centered approach to care.
