What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS or MS degree in Applied Mathematics, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field., 4+ years of experience in supporting the design and development of products as a reliability engineer., Electromechanical or Mechanical design knowledge., Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Reliability Prediction and Modeling analysis, Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Reliability Testing (ALTA, RGT, HALT, Endurance and Demonstration)
Nice to Have
Experience leading Reliability Engineering best practices and the integration of DFR processes into existing product development processes.
What You'll Do.
guidance and technical oversight to product development teams for Design for Reliability (DFR) best practices.
Review design architecture and support development programs through all stages of the process.
interpret and allocate reliability requirements.
Generate Reliability Test Plans and Procedures.
Develop complex reliability prediction models.
Conduct and support FMEA and System Hazard Analysis.
Lead the Hach FRACAS process by acting as the chairman for the Failure Review Board (FRB).
Participate in product design reviews as the primary DFR representative.
Ensure high quality and reliability of procured parts and assemblies.
Recommend design strategies
test methods and statistical process techniques.
Provide guidance to teams in the development of predictive testing methods
in determining final test limits
and in the development and interpretation of accelerated testing models.
Oversee and manage reliability deliverables for project teams and sustainment activities.
Proactively track reliability metrics for teams’ work.
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Provide leadership, guidance and technical oversight to product development teams.; Works closely with System Engineers.; Is embedded in the product design team and participates in product design reviews.; Works closely with Supply Chain Management.; Provides guidance to teams.
Process & Methodology
Oversees and manages reliability deliverables for project teams and sustainment activities., Proactively tracks reliability metrics for teams’ work to ensure efforts are on track, reacts to issues.
