Full Job Description

Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. **WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:** * Assist in the planning and execution of research projects; * Conduct experiments and tests to collect data; * Analyze data and assist in preparing technical reports; * Help in the design, development, and implementation of new and improved products; * Perform routine laboratory tasks, such as preparing solutions and maintaining equipment; therefore and to this purpose the candidate will also be able to perform manual jobs such as welding and connecting hydraulic fittings. * Maintain accurate records of experiments and results; * Work closely with the research and development team to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget; * Implement techniques for tests, defining methodologies, tools and best practices, necessary for the continuous improvement; * Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform routine laboratory procedures to test the quality of the organization's raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, with a focus on new product development. **YOU HAVE:** * High School or equivalent * Ideally 2+ years’ experience as Lab Technician * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers. * Self-motivated and ability to motivate others. * Analytical skills and problem solving abilities. * Proficient use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. **Pay Transparency** nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location.
