Full Job Description

You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. # **A Day in the Life** As an R&D Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and enhancing production processes for advanced medical devices. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will drive world-class product manufacturability by developing and optimizing processes using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and consistency. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with high-tech, automated manufacturing technologies such as laser cutting, laser welding, assembly, and (optical) measurement systems. You’ll assess and improve product manufacturability by building and testing prototypes, as well as collaborating on product design modifications. Overall, you’ll be involved in the evolution of production processes throughout all stages of product maturity—from initial concept through to market launch. You are a smart, eager and result driven engineer who thinks in terms of solutions rather than problems. You present your ideas convincingly and to the point. Collaboration is in your nature, and you value different opinions and perspectives. You have strong analytical skills, and you can suggest out-of-the-box solutions.
