What They're Looking For.

Must Have

PhD, post-doctoral experience, or significant industry experience involving application development for physical quantum computers, Hands-on experience creating quantum algorithms and quantum optimisation solutions, Experience working with defence, government, aerospace, or national security customers, Python programming skills, including experience with relevant Python libraries, Experience developing hybrid quantum-classical applications, Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities, Ability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, Experience translating customer or partner requirements into technical solutions, understanding of computational complexity and performance evaluation, Ability to review, improve, and optimise software code, A collaborative and customer-focused mindset with presentation and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have

Experience with linear and nonlinear optimisation methods, Commercial software development experience, Experience with distributed computing or concurrent processing models, Familiarity with project management tools and version control systems, Knowledge of emerging quantum algorithms, benchmarking approaches, and error-mitigation techniques, Experience working closely with external partners or enterprise customers in technical delivery environments

Benchmark quantum approaches against classical baselines and define meaningful evaluation metrics

Deliver technical workshops

Working closely with customers, commercial teams, and product specialists, you’ll design and develop quantum applications that demonstrate the value of quantum computing today while shaping the roadmap for tomorrow. ### The Role As part of our Global Commercial Team, you’ll partner directly with customers to translate complex business problems into quantum-enabled solutions.
