Full Job Description

The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians on a mission to develop a fault-tolerant quantum computer. As a Quantum Applied Scientist on our Device and Architecture Theory team, you will focus on the theory and modeling of our superconducting qubit processors. You will work closely with our measurement, design, and calibration teams to interpret experimental results, inform new processor designs, and optimize device performance. You will also conduct pathfinding research to guide the development of next-generation processors, focusing on device-level physics, novel qubits and gate schemes, and implementations of error correcting codes. We are looking for candidates with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and with a genuine passion for applied, collaborative work.
