What You'll Achieve.
provide the Board with accurate financial visibility; ensuring "Back-to-Back" contractual terms; ensuring all site instructions are costed, submitted, and agreed upon with the Main Contractor; ensuring 100% compliance with the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act; protect the project’s bottom line; ensuring all partners have the required insurances and financial stability
Industry & Context.
identify and develop the most cost-effective route for specialist M&E packages; reviewing and critiquing "Actual vs. Forecast" spends; ensuring all site instructions are costed, submitted, and agreed upon with the Main Contractor; review and critique all incoming "Pay Less Notices" and "Payment Certificates"; identify and manage commercial risks; identify where Estimating "Norms" can be improved for future bids
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, Proven track record within the mechanical & electricaluilding services industries, Bachelor's degree Level in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline, Comprehensive understanding of tendering & construction process
What You'll Do.
prepare and track both internal and external costs on each job from handover right through to Final Account Sign-Off
Lead the development of the "Project Procurement Plan"
Manage and coordinate the monthly CVR process
Lead the tendering and appointment of specialist trades
and manage the "Variation Account"
Manage and coordinate the monthly "Application for Payment" process
Review and critique all incoming "Pay Less Notices" and "Payment Certificates"
Identify and manage commercial risks
Lead the financial assessment of the supply chain
Provide regular internal updates to the Commercial Manager regarding project cash flow
and disputed variations
Arrange and chair (where necessary) "Commercial Progress Meetings" with the Client’s PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor)
Capture and document "Post-Project Financial Reviews"
