We take pride in a culture where people roll up their sleeves, work together, and keep safety and quality at the heart of everything we do. **Job Summary:** As a Quality Weld Inspector at Central Moloney, you're the last line of defense before a transformer tank moves down the line. You'll inspect welds on transformer tanks for weld lines and defects, correct identified issues, and spatter weld leaks before units enter the wash system. Your eye for detail and working knowledge of weld quality directly impacts the safety, integrity, and performance of every transformer we build. **What You'll Do:** * Inspect all transformer tanks in the weld shop for weld lines, defects, and non-conformities prior to the wash system * Identify and correct weld issues including spattering weld leaks, porosity, undercut, cracking, slag inclusions, and improper weld profiles * Perform visual weld inspections during and after the welding process, checking for size, profile, reinforcement, and overall quality conformance * Review shop drawings and engineering documents to verify welds meet specifications and dimensional requirements * Use weld gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools to confirm weld dimensions and tolerances * Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately and in a timely manner * Communicate quality findings to welders, supervisors, and production teams and recommend corrective actions * Support root cause analysis on weld
