We are currently recruiting for a **Quality Technician** who provides Quality engineering support to the assigned Manufacturing area or Project. The Quality Technician will identify and execute on continuous improvement within their area of responsibility. *This role is initially a 7 month contract* **In this role, a typical day will include:** * Provide quality oversight/input to the manufacturing area to ensure process and product quality requirements such as data integrity, product segregation, etc. are adhered to. * Identify and execute initiatives which improve process controls and overall effectiveness of the Quality System. * Lead and/or support process and/or product investigations providing formal structured approach to identify root causes, establish corrective actions and execute prevention plans. * Support the execution of validations within assigned area. * Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon quality system and regulatory requirements. * Support preparation and participate in external audits by Notified Bodies and Health Authorities, where necessary. **What you’ll bring to Alcon:** * Certificate or Diploma in related discipline Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline. * Two years technical/manufacturing experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry. * Knowledge of FDA, medical device, GMP and validation requirements * Knowledge of Statistics Skills: Probl
