What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant fields, or equivalent experience in lieu of education, 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, automotive, or advanced manufacturing quality environments, Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T, Computer-aided design (CAD) software, Inspection data management software, Receiving, in-process, and final inspection for complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, Owning nonconformance processes, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation, Working cross-functionally in fast-paced production environments with minimal oversight, Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001 or similar QMS standard, Ability to independently prioritize work, drive issues to closure, and operate with a high degree of accountability
Nice to Have
Degree or coursework in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering discipline (STEM), Direct experience conducting First Article Inspection and Report for internal manufacturing, Experience supporting production scale-up, new product introduction (NPI), or low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing, Avionics, electronics, or wire harness fabrication and inspection, Composites manufacturing, Vehicle integration and testing, Precision machining and metrology, CMM programming and advanced metrology equipment (Hexagon/Faro Scanner), Supplier quality engineering and supplier audits, IPC 610/610, IPC 620, ASTM, or MIL standards, NDE/NDT methods and inspection techniques, Statistical process control (SPC) and manufacturing data analysis, Manufacturing processes and their related systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD)
What You'll Do.
Execute advanced inspection and quality assurance activities
Interpret engineering drawings
and manufacturing documentation
Lead nonconformance investigations
and corrective actions
Drive closure of production quality issues
Own key quality system processes
Support development and maintenance of work instructions
Support supplier qualification and audits
Analyze quality data and manufacturing trends
Contribute to Quality Management System (QMS) development
Support rapid product development and NPI efforts
Mentor junior inspectors and establish scalable quality standards
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partnering closely with manufacturing, design, supply chain, and test teams; Coordination with cross-functional stakeholders; Partnering directly with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and test teams on the factory floor
