Full Job Description
Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. The Leo Quality team is seeking an Quality Program Engineer to develop and implement performance metrics systems that provide operational visibility and guide decision-making across PCBA and General receiving inspection. The successful candidate will analyze end-to-end material flow to identify constraints, lead workspace and station improvements, and drive complex quality and process issues to measurable closure — ensuring receiving operations meet production rate demands efficiently and at the required quality standard. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Develop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms that provide operational visibility and guide team decision-making for PCBA and General receiving inspection - Support the mapping and analysis of receiving process flows to identify constraints, eliminate waste, and optimize throughput across inspection operations - Lead technical deep dives to resolve receiving blockers related to documentation, test requirements, and process gaps (driving issues to measurable closure) - Lead receiving workspace and station layout improvements to enhance flow, capacity, and inspector efficiency - Develop and maintain quality performance dashboards and reporting systems that track capacity, quality yield, and receipt rates against production targets - Apply
