Quality Manager - Software Quality Engineering **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) **is seeking a hands-on **Quality** **Manager, Software Quality Engineering** to join our **Quality & Lean Organization **in**St Louis region**! **This is an on-site position and may be located at one of the following locations: Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.** In this role you will lead a team of Software Quality Engineers supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. You will align SQE priorities with program needs across the St. Louis region, partner with Business Unit leads to define workload and technical expectations, and drive improved SQE engagement and software quality practices across the organization. **Position Responsibilities:** * Lead, coach, and manage a team of Software Quality Engineers supporting multiple BDS programs; own hiring, performance development, and career progression. * Translate program technical and contractual requirements into SQE priorities and deliverables; align SQE execution with program schedules and budgets. * Define and implement SQE processes, checklists, and metrics to verify software compliance, reliability, and safety on assigned programs. * Provide approval and oversight of technical approaches, software verification strategies, and software quality artifacts. * Coordinate supplier SQE activities; provide technical direction and assess supplier deliverables for quality and conformance. * Identify and drive continuous process improvements (root-cause analysis, lessons learned, defect reduction). * Maintain productive relationships with customers, stakeholders, program managers, and cross-functional teams; escalate and resolve elevated SQE issues. ** _Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment_** : To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process.
