What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in quality management on major capital projects within mining, heavy industry, or infrastructure, Demonstrated success establishing and governing project‑wide quality systems on greenfield developments, working knowledge of ISO 9001, quality assurance methodologies, and construction quality control, Experience working with EPCM delivery models and multiple contractors, Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive a quality culture in complex delivery environments, Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline, Successful incumbents must reside in South Australia for the duration of the project
Nice to Have
Experience within an Owner’s Team or integrated Owner/EPCM delivery environment, Copper, base‑metals, or process plant project exposure, Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001), Experience supporting commissioning and operations handover
What You'll Do.

Establish and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and project governance requirements
Define quality strategy
and key metrics across all project phases
Provide Owner’s Team oversight of EPCM and contractor quality systems
ensuring alignment with contractual and project requirements
Review and approve project and contractor Quality Plans
inspection/testing regimes
and acceptance criteria
Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across engineering
Manage non‑conformances (NCRs)
corrective and preventive actions
and lessons learned processes
Ensure quality requirements are embedded into contracts
procurement strategies
and quality reviews to verify compliance and drive continuous improvement
Partner with Construction
and Operations Readiness to ensure effective handover
Provide quality performance reporting to Project Leadership and governance forums
