**TITLE:** Quality Inspection Supervisor **REPORTS TO:** Quality Foreman **SUPERVISES:** Quality Inspectors **AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Responsible for the direction of Quality Inspectors and all quality assurance functions for production related activities. * Assist in auditing; the administration, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory quality requirements & standards for production departments. * Monitoring performance according to quality standards, working with production foreman and supervisors to communicate and address the issues. * Performing non destructive tests, including visual inspections (VT) magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), ultrasonic (UT) and radiographic testing (RT). This position is required to perform inspections, to maintain schedule. * Assist in identifying & implementing projects that improve overall production quality. * Assist in the development & implementation of quality metrics. * Assist Quality Technicians, as required to support production. * This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other tasks as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:** * NDT qualifications required: Visual Inspection Level I &II (SNT-TC-1A Level II). * NDT qualifications strongly preferred: Ultrasonic (UT) and radiographic testing (RT) Level I&II (SNT-TC-1A Level II). * High School diploma / GED required. * Minimum of at least 2 years of experience in shipbuilding. * Strong leadership and communication skills.
