Full Job Description
Prysmian is looking for a **Quality Engineer** to work in the Bishopstoke factory within manufacturing of power and telecommunication cable accessories. As a Quality Engineer, you will have a broad range of responsibilities in order to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirement. The role involves monitoring, testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality. The role requires a high level of, both, hands-on and soft skills, such as teamwork, communication, leadership and coordination competencies. **** **Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** • Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures. • Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues. • Managing internal quality non-conformities. • Support managing supplier quality issues. • Driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D, A3, FMEA, involving cross-functional teams when required. • Facilitating external (e.g., ISO) and customer audits. • Facilitating FATs. • Supporting internal and supplier audits. • Monitoring quality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims, time to close quality investigations. • Analysing quality data to identify data driven improvement opportunities. • Maintaining and updating quality management system documentation, in coordination with the UK Quality Management System Manager. • Ensuring all tests and inspections on raw materials, components and finished products are conducted. • Ensuring measurement and test equipment is maintained and calibrated as required. • Ensuring execution of factory quick process audits according to Prysmian rules, ensuring corrective actions are addressed and followed. • Lead by example to enhance and promote quality culture. • Managing a team of quality inspectors. **** **Who are we looking for?** An exp
