undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations, Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and/or perform repetitious work at times, lift or move objects up to 20 pounds, grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small, wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments, safe handling and processing of chemicals like adhesives, lubricants and solvents, and safe operation of job-related equipment and tools
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar and progressive position, High School education or equivalent, computer skills such as but not limited to Excel and Axapta, interpersonal, organization and management skills, Knowledge of all department positions and requirements, Knowledge of existing processes and procedures to ensure process and productivity improvement, Working knowledge of tooling of substrates for coating, Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

What You'll Do.

Ensure performance to meet all production and prototyping requirements of production team
Ensure the quality of all team product and establish sound quality processes
Create updates and presentations as needed for Management
Manage departmental performance measures
including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
Conduct annual performance reviews for team members
Maintain proper inventory levels in coordination with buyers and planners
Advise planners of potential missed dates
Participate in interviews as needed
complete performance make termination recommendations as necessary
Counsel poor performance up to and including termination in conjunction w/ manager
Manage department priorities
Fulfills all regular production duties and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
Assists with managing implemented quality systems
Identify non-conformances through specified inspection methods
Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis
performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
Adhering to Company policies
and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments
