Must Have
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, Proven experience in quality control within the road construction industry, Previous supervisory or leadership experience, knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and aggregate testing methods, Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Effective communication and team management abilities, Valid Class 5 driver's license, Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments, manage multiple projects, driving record free of major infractions, pass a medical/fitness exam
What You'll Do.
Supervise and provide guidance to Quality Control Technicians
Develop and implement quality control procedures
Review and interpret test results
Coordinate with project managers regarding quality issues
Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship
Manage and maintain accurate documentation
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Train and mentor new quality control staff
Continuous improvement of quality control processes
