The Quality Control Inspector II independently inspects aerospace hardware and exercises judgment to accept or reject product in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Inspectors are authorized to perform inspections only within the inspection environments for which they are certified. Tasks and responsibilities expected for this role include those captured by lower role specific levels. This role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams. Key Responsibilities: Independently inspect production hardware within assigned qualification areas, including: Avionics: Complex wire harnesses, continuity verification, PCBA inspection per IPC standards Mechanical / Structures: Precision machined components, composite structures, and additive parts Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and basic GD&T Perform in-process and final inspections Initiate and document nonconformances (NCRs) Communicate inspection results to production and quality teams Support first article inspections and process/procedure feasibility studies under guidance Maintain accurate inspection records and traceability Responsibilities (Level I): Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections on production hardware within assigned qualification areas, including: Avionics: Wire harness assemblies, connectors, routing, labeling, and PCBA visual workmanship.
