Industry & Context.
Identify nonconforming conditions; Hold or stop work on parts and components pending resolution; Follow-up to confirm that remedies have been put in place on items before the car is released
Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl, squat, kneel, and stretch to perform inspections, Keen visual and audio acuity to recognize various shop danger/warning signals, Ability to spend most of their time on their feet and constantly moving throughout the day, Willing and able to wear safety equipment, Vision correctable to 20/20 for inspection activities, Ability to operate forklifts

Must Have
High School diploma or equivalent required
What You'll Do.
Perform in-process and final inspection on railcars parts or components
Ensure qualification and inspections are complete and compliant
Identify nonconforming conditions
Generate nonconformance reporting
Hold or stop work on parts and components
and/or mechanical inspection
Assure all identified nonconforming conditions are identified
Maintain an up-to-date inspection record
Review shop floor documentation
Works with production to identify and plan for shipments
Report adverse and/or non-compliant items
Follow-up to confirm remedies
Participate in quality projects
Support quality activities
Support Responsible Care initiatives

Team & Collaboration
Works with production to identify and plan for the day’s shipments; Reports adverse and/or non-compliant items to the supervisor responsible and QA Manager; Follows-up to confirm that remedies have been put in place on items
