This position is open to candidates who work as freelancers in Mexico City, Mexico.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of professional experience in quality control, manufacturing inspection, or a related field. Proficiency in precision measuring tools and gauges (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Solid knowledge of quality control inspection techniques and methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in computer systems, inspection software, and spreadsheet applications. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice to Have
Quality certifications such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or ASQ (American Society for Quality). Experience in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production environments. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and sector-specific quality standards. Experience with quality management systems and documentation. Proficiency in Spanish for effective collaboration with local teams. Experience in manufacturing or production facility settings.
What You'll Do.
Perform comprehensive product and material inspections using precision measuring tools and gauges to verify compliance with established quality specifications and standards.
Document inspection results accurately and systematically, maintaining detailed records and generating quality reports for analysis and review.
Identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from specifications, and communicate findings clearly to production and management teams.
Conduct statistical analysis of inspection data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for process improvement.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with quality control protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all inspection activities.
Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of enhanced quality control procedures.
Support root cause analysis investigations and assist in implementing preventive measures.
Communicate inspection findings and recommendations transparently and professionally to stakeholders at all levels.
