Full Job Description

Energy Solutions is currently seeking a passionate and driven Quality Control Engineer I to join our Information Systems. As a QC Engineer I you will support software and data quality efforts by executing test cases, identifying defects, and verifying that systems meet defined requirements. Working under the guidance of senior Quality Assurance and QC engineers, you will document testing findings, contribute to the maintenance of test documentation, and collaborate directly with developers, analysts, and project teams. Success in this mid-level role relies on your ability to execute testing activities accurately, thoroughly document defects, and adhere to established processes while continuously developing your skills and foundational knowledge of quality control methodologies. The person who fills this role will be required to work in a hybrid work environment adjacent to one of our offices in Oakland, CA; Orange, CA; New York, NY; Portland, OR; Boston, MA; or Chicago, IL Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execute manual test cases for software features and workflows to verify accuracy and functionality Document testing processes, results, and defects to support traceability and continuous improvement Record and track test results and defects in systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) Collaborate with developers and analysts to seek clarification on requirements and reproduce issues Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and provide testing
