Amazon is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer(QAE) to join the Kindle Content business. The Kindle Renderingteam works on revolutionizing next generation of reading possibilities for millions of customers and thinks ahead in the space to bring more stronger foundations to delight our growing customers of different personas. We are responsible for building ideas from inception to delivery and own the Kindle Content experience foundational tech stacks which brings positive impact to our Customers, Publishers and Authors. We also work across the diverse Kindle Technologies across teams to deliver the delighting experience for our customers on time and raise the bar on engineering excellence on building content experiences at lost cost. Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test products at the user level and code level, both manually and using automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers, they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. QAEs would be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy/planning, coming up with the test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders, contributing to code level Unit tests, test execution and reporting.
