Industry & Context.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Oil & gas technical documentation experience (reviewing, authoring, or maintaining SOPs/procedures, standards, or regulatory-facing documentation), Solid working knowledge of at least one relevant regulatory framework (for example AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM 29 CFR 1910. 119, or equivalent), attention to detail and a consistent, methodical approach to high-volume document comparison and review, Clear written communication skills (you can write defect reports and review commentary that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can act on), Comfort using document management systems and/or issue tracking tools (to log defects, patterns, and regression results)
Nice to Have
Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, or management systems, Experience with pipeline integrity, wellsite, or facilities documentation (operations or compliance), Background in regulatory affairs, compliance auditing, or management system governance, Prior experience reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and safety/compliance risk, Exposure to environmental compliance documentation (for example approvals, emissions reporting, environmental management requirements)

Validate AI-generated outputs across procedure formatting (SOPs) and regulatory compliance workstreams
Review original source documents side-by-side with AI outputs
Verify AI-reformatted SOPs through side-by-side comparison
Confirm preservation of every step
and supplemental section
Validate procedure structure and usability against HPOG Best Practice in Procedure Formatting
Review readability and operational clarity from the perspective of a field operator or technician
Log defects with precise
actionable detail and clear references
Review AI-generated regulatory compliance flags for accuracy
Evaluate AI-generated compliance suggestions for technical soundness
operational appropriateness
and alignment with regulation intent
Cross-check new or revised corporate standards/policies against client's internal policy library
Perform regression testing after platform updates
Track error patterns across documents
Summarize systemic issues
Partner with product/engineering to prioritize improvements to models and workflows
