What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or related field, Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in leadership role, negotiation, analytical, and cost-control skills, Knowledge of procurement systems (Birchstreet, etc. ) and inventory management, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, High attention to detail with organizational ability, Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language, Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia, Must have the right to work in Malaysia
Nice to Have
preferably in hospitality, Familiarity with food & beverage sourcing and hotel operations is an advantage
What You'll Do.
Oversee end-to-end procurement processes
Develop and maintain an approved supplier list
Evaluate vendors based on quality
Lead contract negotiations
Ensure timely procurement of goods
Monitor inventory levels and consumption
Implement cost-control measures
Conduct regular market surveys
Ensure all purchases comply with policies
Review and approve purchase orders
Maintain accurate procurement records
Work closely with Finance
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
Coordinate with receiving and stores
Manage and resolve supply chain disruptions
and supervise purchasing team members
Support sustainability initiatives
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordinate closely with Culinary, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments; Work closely with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities; Coordinate with receiving and stores to ensure proper inspection, acceptance, and storage of goods; Lead, train, and supervise purchasing team members
Communication Scope
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language; Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia
