undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations, stand or sit for long durations, perform repetitious work at times, lift or move objects up to 20 pounds, grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small, wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments, safe handling and processing of chemicals like adhesives, lubricants and solvents, safe operation of job-related equipment and tools
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar position, High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience, sense of ownership, written and verbal communication skills, computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Excellent organizational skills, ability to work well in a group atmosphere and comply with high quality standards, ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities
What You'll Do.
forecasting and inventory management for the Optics Business Unit
scheduling and scheduling workload
purchasing consumables and project work to reduce costs and improve processes
ongoing vendor evaluations in accordance to ISO 9001 requirements
date and data management
scheduling/ re-scheduling/ date management
Product Availability and Lead Time calculation
Initiates and participates in purchasing improvement and cost reduction programs
Generate special and periodic reports as required or directed
Inventory Control and Inventory Planning (Safety Stock
Review Document and Data
Review company back orders
