What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 20+ years of law enforcement experience, Substantial command-level responsibility (e.g., Commander, Captain, Chief, Sheriff, or equivalent), Graduate of the FBI National Academy (FBINA), Deep understanding of state/local/education government operations, budgeting, and technology procurement, Demonstrated success in building and executing large-scale public safety technology-focused programs, Highly effective communicator and relationship builder, Record of presenting to command staff, elected officials, and operational personnel, Self-driven, Ability to independently navigate complex environments and deliver results, Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required by assigned territory, ~75% travel
What You'll Do.
Champion Skydio's drone and DFR technology
Demonstrate public safety value to decision-makers
Collaborate with Sales
Develop and present business cases
Act as a public safety subject matter expert
Lead or advise on public sector procurement
Stay abreast of evolving regulatory environments
Build and sustain trusted relationships
Organize and participate in webinars
Support post-sale agency success
Serve as DRI for working groups
Provide strategic leadership
Lead structured feedback loops with customers
Partner with Product and Engineering
Champion use cases internally
Serve as Skydio’s national public safety authority
Assist accounts pods with customers
Establish best practices for DFR CONOPS
Support agencies in defining success metrics
