Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), GMC registration with licence to practise, GMC Specialist Register (Psychiatry), Psychiatry experience, Experience in psychiatric assessment, Experience in risk management, Experience working in MDT settings, Professional indemnity insurance, Enhanced DBS (or equivalent)

Role Brief: The Psychiatrist provides specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnostic clarification, medication review, and clinical consultation within Spectrum.Life’s end-to-end mental health stepped-care service. The role supports Step-5 escalation and medical oversight, ensuring members with complex, severe, or diagnostically uncertain presentations receive timely, safe, and evidence-based care. Schedule: Responsibilities: Psychiatric Assessment and Consultation • Deliver psychiatric assessments following referral from clinical triage or therapy services • Provide diagnostic clarification and formulation input • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning • Provide medication advice and prescribing recommendations • Deliver follow-up psychiatric review sessions where clinically indicated • Support complex case formulation Stepped-Care Model Integration • Operate within Step-5 of the stepped-care model • Support escalation decisions and MDT collaboration • Provide consultation to therapy teams on complex presentations MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION • Work with Clinical Lead, psychologists, HI-CBT therapists, counsellors, and 24/7 team • Participate in case consultations and MDT discussions EXTERNAL COO
