What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate, RN/RPN Student with minimum successful completion of year-one, Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife or Physician, Experience providing services in a community health care setting, Experience working with palliative care patients, Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful and courteous manner, Ability to work independently within the scope of the role and prioritize workload, Must possess the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties, G2/G License with access to a vehicle
Nice to Have
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative, Successful completion of Core Concepts of Fundamentals, Additional and on-going relevant palliative education, Current CPR and First Aid Certificate, Current Police check suitable for working with the vulnerable sector
What You'll Do.
Provide specialized care as specified in the care
Provide companionship and comfort
Create a calm and respectful environment
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Perform light housekeeping duties
observe and communicate any concerns/changes
Travel between patients’ residences or facilities
