What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Radiological Physics or a closely related field, Prior related experience, Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Physics, Therapeutic Physics, or Physics of Nuclear Medicine, or an equivalent certification, Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in complex clinical and regulatory situations, Ability to mentor and support junior staff
Nice to Have
Experience with proton therapy, Commitment to lead the proton unit's commissioning, quality assurance and daily treatments, Support role to the lead proton physicist
What You'll Do.
and document radiological physics data
Perform surveys and evaluations of radiation-producing equipment
Provide radiological physics services
Maintain and oversee quality control programs
Provide clinical radiologic physics support
Perform advanced physics evaluations
Serve as a senior technical resource
Lead or contribute to projects
Develop and deliver education and training
Provide input into departmental budgeting
Maintain current professional knowledge
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Support the Radiation Oncology Department; Mentor junior physicists; Work with dosimetrists; Work with physics assistants; Work with LINAC engineer
