Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) Chief Engineer **Company:** The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space Weapons and Information Systems is seeking a **Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) Chief Engineer**. This job location will be located in **Colorado Springs, Colorado**. Why This is an Exciting Role? As a Program Chief Engineer at BDS, this position will be responsible for overall technical leadership of system analysis, design, development, integration, test, and deployment, serving as the top technical decision authority on the program. This position is the single focal point responsible for technical excellence on the program. The Chief Engineer establishes the technical vision and establishes design practices for the organization that are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving the implementation of innovative solutions. The focus is on creating and maintaining a cohesive overall design for the organization's systems and applications. This includes making high-level design decisions, setting technical standards, and ensuring that the technical products meet the customer's and company's expectations. **Position Responsibilities:** * Responsible for safety and product integrity * Final RAA for the specification, configuration, design, and certification/verification (including all changes) * Focal point for regulatory issues * Customer technical interface * Senior engineering leader for the program * Maintaining visibility of and helping mitigate risks identified in engineering program engagement points * Identifying resource needs * Overseeing technical performance of those assigned to the program * Ensuring engineers on the program use appropriate technical processes, procedures and tools in support of executing customer requirements and appropriate governance * Formal technical reports, technical products, and presentations * Formal technic
